BYOD - Resources

This is a collection of resources that I have found and am compiling as a result of a Partial Sabbatical I have taken for 6 weeks in Term 1 (2015). This is very much a working resource bank where some are noted as being of great value, and some links and videos are here for me to refer back to at a later date.
Any comments or queries please feel free to email me at deidre.senior@gmail.com - I would love to hear if your school or you have resources that could be added to this.
Thanks
Deidre Senior

My sabbatical report can be found here

RESOURCES - that have been used and are of value

(I have worked with Sean as a Microsoft Innovative Teacher - he is an Australian leader in the Microsoft team - and this document outlines the different models available to schools to implement)

A STRONG VISION:

A strong vision for teaching and learning should be evident in a school, in order for both teachers and learners to be able to articulate the learning and the process that the learning is happening within. This example from Leamington School shows clear direction as a school community. The visual is clever, and obviously alive in their school! Click on the picture and watch the video explaining how this is used in the school. There are some explicit examples of links to the use of digital technologies.

Corinna Primary School
While these students are predominantly working with Chrome Books - the pedagogy behind the implementation of these is still the same. I love this video and the messages in it from the students, the teacher and the Principal!

A simple but informative FAQ sheet.

I really like this puzzle analogy. (And I'm sorry but I'm not sure of the reference - where it came from). You can see that I have personalised this for our school in order to identify the aspects that we have already covered, and to identify the 'next steps' for us in our implementation.

Always been a fan of Stephen's . . .

Love this video - and I want to explore this more - what pedagogical changes need to be made when BYOD is introduced?

Setting the Vision for the Change:

Melissa Bell from St Hilda's (Dunedin) talking about linking into their vision and how technology is able to enhance this:

Shifting the Learning

A really simple wee video to show parents:
